I feel as an average Japanese China and Korea's reactions to Abe's visit on Yasukuni not very much to the point. It comes from misunderstanding if not they are using the theme as their political propaganda. At the shrine, Abe is not pledging rearmament of Japan and not justifying what we did in the past. Are not A-Class war criminals duely punished? They were executed and Japan was sufficiently punished for its imperialism and militarism in the past war. After the war, people all welcomed MacArthur's democratization of Japan. People are rejoiced becoming free from totalitarianism and feudalistic ideas. If any Japanese political leader try to turn the society back to the old one, we will stand up.

Comment: super naive Westerner. Don't understand Eastern art of insult. Insult without doing so directly. Abe have a pattern of denying intensity of Nanjing Massacre, Comfort Women, trying to revise history textbooks. To the Chinese and Koreans, it means the shrine visits is his message to the Class A War Criminals that he is doing his duty to unblemish their names. He went to the shrine to tell them they were wronged and he came to tell them that there were no Comfort Women, no Nanjing Massacre to any degree that China and S Korea fuss about. So Western boy, throw your logic out the window!
